Ergodyne Chill-Its® 6716 Evaporative Cooling Hard Hat Liner
Stay cool and comfortable while working in hot conditions with the Ergodyne Chill-Its® 6716 Evaporative Cooling Hard Hat Liner. Designed to attach directly to the suspension of most hard hats and safety helmets, this lightweight liner uses cooling polymer technology to provide up to four hours of cooling relief when activated with water.
The low-profile design provides cooling without adding unnecessary bulk beneath your hard hat. A comfortable 100% cotton construction and three hook-and-loop closures make it easy to attach the liner securely to the forehead area of the suspension.
The reusable design can be reactivated whenever cooling is needed—simply soak the liner in water and allow the polymer crystals to absorb the water. The liner is designed to remain lightweight and comfortable while activated, although overactivation can cause the polymer crystals to expand and make the liner too bulky for comfortable wear.

How to Activate
- Soak the liner in water for 2–5 minutes.
- Remove and allow excess water to drain.
- Attach the liner to the forehead area of your hard hat suspension.
- Enjoy up to 4 hours of cooling relief.
Important: Avoid overactivating the liner. Excess water absorption can cause the polymer crystals to expand, increasing the liner's size and potentially making it uncomfortable to wear beneath a hard hat. To reactivate, simply re-wet the liner.
